What to expect
The itinerary winds through the antechambers and halls of the Herculanense Museum, a multimedia reimagining of the original 18th-century Herculaneum Museum.
You will admire the majesty of the Royal Staircase from the "sea side" before walking through the Private Royal Apartments, which preserve the memories of sovereigns and illustrious guests: Charles of Bourbon, Maria Amalia of Saxony, Joachim Murat, Caroline Bonaparte, and Pope Pius IX. The tour concludes along the "Vesuvius side" of the Royal Staircase, adorned with statues originally recovered from the Theatre of Herculaneum.
